Thermalert TX
The Thermalert® TX infrared temperature sensors are
available in two configurations:
1. TX Basic Sensors offer outstanding performance when
used in single-unit installations.
2. TX Smart Sensors, which have remote addressability,
can be easily installed in multidrop configurations including
special ones for monitoring glass and plastics processes. TX
Series Smart Sensors communicate over a simple loop-powered
2-wire cable using the HART (Highway Addressable Remote
Transducer) protocol. This signal combines industry-standard
4-20 mA output with simultaneous digital communications.
General Specifications for Thermalert TX:
- Simple, two-wire installation
- Wide temperature range from -18° to 2000°C
- Simultaneous 4-20 mA and digital output for smart TX sensors
- Compact, rugged sensor with NEMA-4 (IP 65) rating
- Advanced signal processing
- Point-to-point or multidrop installation (up to 15 sensors)
- Windows software for remote configuration monitoring
- Wide choice of focus distances
- Special models for glass and plastics applications
DataTemp TX software
DataTemp TX software, designed to run on PCs, greatly
simplifies Thermalert TX operation. DataTemp TX software allows
you to set temperature and output ranges, emissivity, alarm
points, and more - then monitor temperature data from single or
multiple sensors on a real time graphical display. You can
record and store data and import that data into spread sheets
and database programs. The software also features pull-down
menus, a user-friendly graphical interface, plus online hint
messages and help instructions.
